Weekend Rally Recap

We were moved this weekend when thousands poured in to state capitals across the country to fight back for union rights. Our team went out to join everyone in solidarity. We have to show a united front!

Here are some highlights from our team:

Get ready to rally

Get your boots on because we're getting ready to rally!

This Saturday, Progressive Majority is joining over 30 other organizations to protest the conservative movement's fierce attacks on middle class American workers.

Simply put: We've had enough.

Join us on Saturday at noon at your state capital to demand conservative lawmakers back down!

Stand with unions!

Conservative attacks on unions and union members are spreading like wildfire across the states.  Ground zero is Wisconsin, where thousands of protestors are storming Madison to demand that conservatives back down – and at least ten more states are facing similar battles.

Repairs or regression?

There’s more to this budget repair bill than the labor piece. For those brave enough, you can read all 144 pages  or read some Keats, it would probably be less depressing.

The two other issues are:

Serious cuts to education that could spell the end of many Madison public schools, a split of the University of Wisconsin campus and the end to Title I funding for low-income students.

In an attempt to step into FDR’s shoes, Governor Walker of Wisconsin will hold a "Fireside chat" to address his union-busting "budget repair bill."

For those in the Badger State, turn the TV on at 6:00 pm CT.

In the meantime, what do you think he’ll say?

This is why you elect Progressive Champions

Progressive Majority is in the business of electing what we call "progressive champions." We don't want to help elect someone that's going to flake out when it comes to crunch time. We want leaders that will fight across the board helping move our country forward.

Let me tell you about Joe.

Coming to a legislature near you: 7 anti-choice bills

If you thought the anti-choice drum beat would stop and end in Congress, you were wrong.

In seven of our 10 target state legislatures, anti-choice bills are popping up, left and right. It has groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL playing whack-a-mole with these bills to stop them from ever becoming law.
