Edna Brown has represented Ohio's 11th District in the state Senate since 2011. She served in the Ohio House from 2002-2010.
Edna is a lifelong resident of Toledo and one of its most trusted leaders. Brown has had a 32-year career as an employee with the city of Toledo, followed by a six-year tenure on Toledo City Council. She was involved in the founding of the Greater Toledo Urban League, and is the first African American person to represent Toledo in the Ohio Senate.
