June and her family have lived in Everett for 14 years and is a leader in her community. As a former Peace Corps volunteer, June Robinson is no stranger to public service. She served as the Executive Director of the Housing Consortium of Everett and Snohomish County, a group focused on increasing the availability of affordable housing in her community. June worked with the Community Health Center of Snohomish County to expand services while helping streamline their budget and modernize record keeping. Today June is Program Manager for Public Health-Seattle & King County. In 2011 June challenged an ineffective 16-year incumbent Democrat in Everett City Council, Position 4, received an endorsement and support from Progressive Majority, but lost in November. June was recruited to run shortly after a sitting council-member suddenly died, triggering a special election to fill out his term that ends in 2015. Progressive Majority played a role in recruiting June to run this year along with Sen. Nick Harper, a 2010 Progressive Majority candidate.
