State Representative, District 69
Rich Javorek is running for election to the Ohio House of Representatives in District 69. Rich is a first‐generation American. He taught in Ohio public schools for over 30 years and held various leadership positions within the OEA.
Rich is currently an Adjunct Instructor for Bryant & Stratton College and was recently appointed to the zoning commission for his township. He is currently the only Democrat serving in his township. Rich first ran for Ohio State Board of Education’s fifth district in 2008 as a Progressive Majority farm team member. He lost his race but was appointed to the seat by Gov. Strickland in 2010.
Unfortunately, the Ohio State Senate rejected his appointment after Gov. Kasich took office. Rich ran again for that the seat in 2012 as a Progressive Majority-endorsed candidate and lost.
