Su is running for her fourth term in the Colorado House of Representatives.  She is chairwoman of the State, Veterans & Military Affairs Committee and is a member of the Business, Labor & Economic & Workforce Development Committee.

Su protected the future viability of Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora with legislation that  prevents development too close to the base. She closed an age gap in Colorado’s child safety-seat law to require that all children are properly secured when traveling in motor vehicles. She extended reporting requirements for consumer protection to more than a dozen healthcare professions.   To provide information to homeowners and homeowners’ association board members, she established the HOA Information Office in the state's Division of Real Estate.
