Theresa Abed is a life long Michigan resident, and has worked as a school social worker for over thirty years. She currently serves as a Eaton County Commissioner. As County Commissioner, she spearheaded the creation of the Communications Committee and fought for board and committee meetings to be held in the evenings and open to the public. She has led in increasing transparency and accessibility to local government.
