Coming to a legislature near you: 7 anti-choice bills

If you thought the anti-choice drum beat would stop and end in Congress, you were wrong.

In seven of our 10 target state legislatures, anti-choice bills are popping up, left and right. It has groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL playing whack-a-mole with these bills to stop them from ever becoming law.

It's appalling to see this gaining traction. Here is a list of the most recent bills we've seen. Keep an eye out and let us know in the comments of any others we should add to this list.

Ohio is really leading the pack here with a bill that would ban abortions at the first sign of a fetal heartbeat.

Arizona takes a different spin with a State House bill that would allow doctors to offer ultrasounds and point out internal organs to women seeking abortions.

Washington's H.B. 1442 would require minors to notify their parents 48 hours prior to seeking an abortion.

Conservative legislators in Virginia want to see abortion clinics held to the same standards as hospitals, whereas they are now regulated like oral surgeon offices.

Florida is pushing to the hilt with an all-out abortion ban bill, except in some fuzzy circumstances where birth is a danger to a woman's life.

In Minnesota, funding for abortions for low-income women is under attack.

Finally, Pennsylvania legislators could see a bill that would prevent private insurance companies from covering abortion. It sounds a little hypocritical coming from conservatives, dontcha think?
