Let's be fair
Women’s health is under attack by conservatives. Whether it’s Congressman Darrell Issa blocking women from testifying on women’s health in front of his committee or the Virginia House of Delegates passing a law forcing a woman to have an ultrasound before she is allowed an abortion, women’s health is under relentless attack.
Well, women legislators are fighting back.
In Virginia, state Senator Janet Howell introduced an amendment that would require men to have a rectal exam and a cardiac stress test before obtaining a prescription for erectile dysfunction medication.
In Georgia, State Representative Yasmin Neal introduced a bill that would ban vasectomies after a Republican lawmaker introduced a bill that would outlaw abortions 20 weeks after the egg is fertilized. Rep. Neal believes that if women are going to face limited health options, men should as well. Check out her announcement video below.
This is why we need to elect more women to office, so they can fight back and protect women from this conservative assault. If you haven't already, sign our petition telling the Republicans in Congress that women cannot be ignored. Click here to sign our petition and send a message to the Republicans.
